to
17th August 2022

On October 14, 1971 a beautiful baby girl was born to Edwardand Shirley Brown in Nassau, Bahamas. They named her Vanessa Juanita Brown; shewas the third child of five children, and was affectionately known as ‘Nessa’.As a child she was always helpful, caring and loving to her parents andsiblings. To know her was to love her.

Vanessa received her early education at Woodcock Primarythen on to T.G. Glover Secondary School, and later to C.C. Sweeting where shecompleted her high school education. Soon after, she was blessed with a babyboy, and named him Shavano. He was her gentle giant, and when he sang(especially “One In A Million”), she could not be more proud!

After completing highschool, she started in the workforce. Her love and care for the elderly would have her helping occupants of thesenior housing, where she did many chores. Vanessa later moved on at the age ofnineteen, in the year 1990, to start gainful employment at Kingsway AcademySchool. She remained there for over thirty years, and worked in severalcapacities. Vanessa left an indelible mark on the hearts of staff, students andparents alike.

Then, Vanessa became re-acquainted with the love of herlife, Cassius Clarke when he commenced work at Kingsway Academy. They wereunited in holy matrimony on April 27, 2017; he was her ‘BoBo’, and she was his‘munchkin’.

After fighting a long battle with cancer, the Lord saw itfitting to call his angel home on August 17, 2022.
