Welldressed, well spoken, well mannered, well liked, beautiful, outgoing, intelligent and talented, these are some of the adjectives used to describeRozelda Davis.

Born on the31st Day of July1941 to Mildred Davis (Deceased) and Theophilus Davis(Deceased), the third child of a Family of Ten Children. Her two BrothersArthur and Nelson Davis and two Sisters Candy and Elsie Davis predeceased her.Known for her calm, cool demeanor and helpful non condescending attitude sheendeared herself to friends and family alike.

We willnever know on this side of Heaven the folk who were beneficiaries of herun-ending kindness and thoughtfulness toward her fellowman.

Afterattending Western Junior and Senior School she was employed at Steve’s ShoeStore owned and operated by Greeks with whom she became good friends with. Rosebeing a enterprising go getter, moved on and worked at Paradise Beach, PilotHouse Club and Barclay’s Bank. When she moved to Freeport Grand Bahama, sheworked at Lucayan Harbour Inn as Assistant to the Financial Controller.  Those who worked with her spoke of herfairness, professionalism, helpfulness and problem-solving skills. They spokeof her having a “presence” that gave one a sense of “everything is going to bealright”.

Rose movedto England where her sister Elsie resided as well, while there on January 1st,1966, Kai Morgan Davis, her first born and “only” child came into the world. Now she had a son of her own on whom she lavished love, care and attentionwhile instilling in him a keen sense of what it takes to be a self-containedMan of integrity. When she moved back to The Bahamas and stayed for many yearsbefore moving to the States and settling in.

As time wenton, she began having health challenges some of which took a toll on her so Godin in infinite mercy healed her by calling her home to be with Him on July 4th2024
