In Loving Memory of

Roselyn Bethel

24th July 2023

On August 5, 1942 on the Island of tranquility and Freedom, in the settlement, ofJames Cistern Eleuthera, Bahamas, twin babies were born to the late John Henryand Lucille Whyte.  

Beingthe only baby to survive, they named her Roselyn.

Roselynwas always a self-sufficient and independent person, who was always in survivalmode.

Shereceived her early education at James Cistern, All age School, Eleuthera. Besidesliving in Eleuthera, she also resided in Grand Bahama for a few years.

Roselynwas employed at a number of companies in Eleuthera, including caring for a fewwinter homes as a housekeeper.

Roselynfell in love with the late George Godfrey Bethel and they were united in holymatrimony in December of 1967.

Roselynwas a committed and faithful member of Wesley Methodist church in James CisternEleuthera. A devoted Christian, a worshipper and prayer warrior. A “mightywoman of God”.  One who always kept theLord as the top priority in her life.

Shewas a no-nonsense person. She enjoyed cooking and consuming her scrumptious meals,that she took time and pride in preparing.

On thenight of July 24, 2023, Roselyn quietly slipped from time into eternity.
