A Time to be Born
Inthe city of Nassau on Saturday November 23rd, 1968. A precious bouncing babyboy was born to the parents of Ruth and Ronald Adderley. Overjoyed, they namedhim Sean Alexander Adderley. He began the 3rd son of ninesiblings. A developed leader from veryyoung; he was always mistaken as the oldest of the pack. He wasn’t afraid of any challenge and from achild he voluntarily shouldered the responsibility and welfare of hisfamily. To him, family was everything.
A Time to Learn
Seanwas a young man born to do great exploits. His journey began at ColumbusPrimary, Ridgeland Primary, S C McPherson and Government High School. After his father’s accident at the age of 12,he and his brother (Ron) would balance school and work hours to maintainstability in the home. In 2012, hechallenged himself in the furtherance of his Education. Not having thenecessary requirements for college, Sean (as with every course of action in hislife) determined that once he had the mind and the Spirit of God, he couldaccomplish ANYTHING – no matter the set-backs. This fueled him to prove that “it’snot how you start, but how you finish”. He entered into Destiny Christian College (now New Covenant University)with a desire to accomplish obtaining an Associates Degree but graduated with acouple of his degrees as valedictorian and the others with honors. He completedhis education with a Doctorate in Theology.
A Time to work:
Seanstarted working at an early age as a packing boy, his career later led him towork as a mason for Sunco Builders. He later became a licensed contractor, which led him to build projects for Arawak Homes, Ministry of Works, Ministryof Education, Abaco Markets, Indigo Island, LIPA Air Traffic Operations andsubsidiaries and other private entities. His business motto was “We built to least” and received many complementsfor his work ethic and business dealings. He was a man of impeccable integrity.
A Time for Love:
In2005, Sean began to seek the Lord as to the next assignment in his life and towhom he must continue it with. The Lordspoke individually to him and Monique Green (thru dreams and by the Spirit ofGod’s leading). Thru many counsel andconfirmation, they came together in fulfillment of God’s plan and joinedthemselves in holy matrimony in May 2006. Strategically, the Lord had alreadyset their hearts to love one another wholly and from that day forward itintensified and was magnified to everyone who came into contact with them. Sean wrote ‘on the spot’ songs forMonique. One of his favorites was “Sean loves Monique, yes he do. Sean love Monique, how about you”
A Time to serve:
Seanwas a young man who loved life and he dedicated his life to honoring andserving others. His service started with his parents (who predeceased him),his, siblings, family and friends. Sean was a person who loved to entertain andfeed everyone who came in his presence. When attending functions at Sean'shouse, he never wanted you to leave, he always asked "are you'll leavingalready?" Put on another movie and stay a little longer." While hefound something else to offer his guests.
Aftergiving his life to the Lord in 1994, he became dedicated to the work of theKingdom – serving at Bahamas Christian Fellowship Center (the ministry of hisChristian birth), then serving at People of Destiny World Outreach Ministriesand establishing True Essence of Man Ministries of which he is the visionaryand Senior Pastor. Starting this work, became his greatest joy He loved the Lord and could not wait to teach themessages God gave him. Becoming a disciple of God was his greatestaccomplishment. This led him to do ministry many places around the worldincluding Holland, Costa Rica and Panama. He shared the teaching and love of God and made many friends.
A Time to Die:
Afterreceiving the diagnosis of a disease he was born with, he intensified hisministerial training by developing the leaders to carry on his work – if oneday “He not be able to” His questing to us always is “what will happen if I nothere? You must prepare yourself for myabsence”. This phrase certainly was notonly for ministry buy for our personal lives. After a short battle with this illness, the Lord called him home OnAugust 3rd, 2021 at 1:01am.
