A TIME TO BE BORN

The angels in heaven sang “GloryHallelujah”, on the 27th day of January in the year 1974, when a bouncingbundle of joy was born to Daisy Mae Stubbs and the late Benoit Stanisclas. Thebaby boy was given the name “Randolph”, which means “protector”; and that hetruly was….

A TIME TO LEARN

“Randy” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends, was always an outspoken, mischievous child, who was fun to be around.  His witty remarks would make anyone laugh; aswas his goal. During his early childhood years, he attended Woodcock Primary.Upon completion, he went on to attend H.O. Nash Junior High School andsubsequently D.W. Davis for the remainder of his tentative senior school years.

A TIME TO WORK

“Randy” could bedescribed as extremely industrious and driven. Before graduating school, heenjoyed enhancing his skills as a young man, and acquired jobs to help him dojust that. When he was about 18 years old, with the assistance of his oldersister, Sherry, he acquired a job at Crystal Palace as a Houseman. Once Randy committed to a job, he remainedthere for a long time. After leaving Crystal Palace, he worked as a fenceinstaller at Bahamas Fencing, and then as a Tour Guide with EduCulture. Yearslater, Randy began work as a Driverat The Department of Environmental Health, where he remained up until hisdemise. Additionally, in his spare time, he dabbled in tiling and masonry work.He was extremely talented with his hands and would often use the gifts that Godhad given him, to provide for his family. As a budding entrepreneur, he invested in a Rental Car company, as wellas sold seafood and home appliances.

A TIME TO LOVE

In 1995 Randolph became a fatherto a beautiful baby girl whom he named Randisha. He then became a father to ason, whom he named Randolph Jr.  “Randy” then fell in love with DonnaleeBethell, who later became his wife. They remained confidantes until his demiseand this union bore Destiny Stanisclas.

A TIME TO LIVE

Randy had aninfectious spirit and was known to all whom he encountered as the “life of anyparty”. Whether it was a Holy Ghost party or a funeral, Randy always shared jokes and that hearty laugh.  Whenever Cousin Rosie had an event, you canrest assured that he was there, front and center in every picture; for he lovedhis family.

Daddy’s laughter would light up any room and he greeted everyonewith a hug, smile and sometimes, even a kiss. He was a joyous soul, who couldturn anyone's bad day into a beautiful one. He perfected the art of talking andsomehow laughing at the same time. That was his signature quality, making ithard to determine if he was happy or upset.

As a father, Daddywas the crème de la crème. Nothing was ever too good for us. The trail that hepaved for his daughters, as to how a man is supposed to nurture and cater tous, is one that only a few can match. He was truly a man of his word, a man ofintegrity and staunch dedication. Whatever he committed himself to, one could bet their bottom dollar, that he would deliver. He lived up to the true meaning of his name and was evenironically called the “Bodyguard”,and that he truly was. He was certainly a protector and would lay down his lifefor the ones that he loved. He was an exquisite father, son, brother and uncle.Daddy was very close to his siblingsand spent a lot of his days with his sister Cheryl; sometimes going there fromdusk and remaining there until dawn. Moreover, he was a phenomenal son, whodevoted most of his time to his Mother Daisy, who he would refer to as “theapple of his eye”. To further show this, he passed down her name, “Daisy, to mysister and I, as both of our middle names. Daddyensured that all of grammy’s needs were met. Battling any illness that hefaced, he would rise up every morning to take her breakfast, to check herpressure, or even to take her on drives. And if you were travelling, Daddy’s first thing to say was “makesure pick-up couple things for your Grammy!” Daddy was beloved by all his colleagues and employers, and he wascoined for leaving an imprint everywhere that he went.   Further highlighting his industrious nature, during Covid, he would take it upon himself to collect garbage inneighborhoods, at a time when there would be days or sometimes weeks of nogarbage collection. He was truly an example of integrity and dedication.

A TIME TO WORSHIP

In his earlier years, Randy attended Seventh Day Adventistchurch services with his wife, Donnalee. Due to falling ill, he began attendingTemple Christian Church via zoom, while in hospital or at home recovering. Randy accepted the Lord as his personalsavior and was looking forward to living out his Ephesians 2:10. While in acoma, his cousin Susan prayed over him and when he came to, his firstconversation was about giving his life to the Lord. Randy would typically use his WhatsApp, to spread the good news, whether through his statuses or through chain messages, sharing scriptures andsermons.

A TIME TO MEET THE SAVIOR

In January of this year, Randy suffered a heart attack and wasadmitted to ICU. While there his family and friends prayed relentlessly overhim. The doctors and nurses noted that it was truly a miracle that he overcameit and had a full recovery. Randy wasdischarged from hospital on March 7th., 2023. Unfortunately,he was re-admitted on March 23rd, with complaints of shortness ofbreath. But through God’s grace, he overcame and was again discharged on April8th.  He spent that week going on long drives, trying new foods, and making as many memories as possible with his family andfriends. He was truly a lover of life.

On the morning of April 13th, Randy was rushed to A and E by hisdaughter, Randisha. Upon arrival, he was immediately taken to the trauma roomto be seen by doctors. At this time, Randy became unresponsive, and with all the efforts of themedical team attending to him, they were unable to resuscitate him. Randy’s soul returned to the Lord at12:39 p.m.
