THE LIFE AND WITNESSOF PATRICIA “PAT” BROWN
On September 9th, 1961on the Island of New Providence a beautiful baby girl was born to the lateRupert Ferguson and the late Agnes Louise Knowles, they named her PatriciaLouise.
“Pat” or “Tricia” as she wasaffectionately called received her education at C.I. Gibson and L.W. Young Sr.High. She successfully advanced her education by enrolling in Typing andComputer classes where she obtained Certifications in Information Technology. She was skilled when it came to setting up Networks.
Patricia was employed at GrahamThompson & Co. for 31 years. While there, she formed everlastingfriendships. She will be remembered for her loyalty, commitment, truthfulnessand, straightforward talk. While this candidness may not be what one wanted tohear – she said it with love and with the utmost respect. This trait she surlygained from her mother.
In 1985, she married MichaelBrown, this union was blessed with two (2) children: Darius and Dion.
Over the years, Patricia devotedher time and energy to her family and work – often going the extra mile toensure that everyone was comfortable and well taken care off.
Pat was delighted to be home fromwork at a time when her aging mother Agnes (mama) needed her most. She took onthis task without any hesitation. Mama was glad for the company also. It can besaid that she had a special gift for handling the elderly – they would call herfor any and everything including a good laugh and she took a keen interest inhearing them talk about the good old days and discussing their physicalchallenges.
On Sunday September 4th 2022, Tricia was admitted to Doctors Hospital after complaining about beingfatigue and shortness of breath. OnMonday September 5 at about 5:30am, Pat answered the Masters callreleasing and surrendering all the discomfort she had been experiencing. Weknow she said her famous words “All is Well.” She released it all to our fatherwho took her breath away, and those heavenly angels who gently closed her eyesfor that eternal rest.
Patricia was predeceased by her mother Agnes Knowles and her brother James Knowles.
