The time to be born occurred on July 26, 1970, when Heavendelivered a bouncing baby girl to Hillman and Rosamond Wells in the quietcommunity of Wilson Track. With thankfulhearts, they named her Pamela Claudette but she was affectionately called Pam.
A happy and mild-mannered child, Pamela wassurrounded by the love of a large family where she learned that in life therewould be a time to plant and a time to uproot. She enjoyed school days just like all otheractive girls. She progressed from theYellow Elder Primary School to Jordan Prince William High School. By the timeshe completed studies at Miami Dade Community College, she learned that therewas a time to break down and a time to build up and a timeto be silent and a time to speak.
Pamela recognized that there was a time to search for true meaning in herlife. We thank Salem Union BaptistChurch for her early spiritual formation grounding her in the word of God tonever give up on things eternal. Pamela eventually accepted membership withinthe Church of God Bahamas and her fellowship at The Lakeview Church through theWomen’s Discipleship Ministry, counselor of Girls Club and secretary of Women’sministries ensured she understood that there was indeed a time to tear down and atime to build up.
In her quest to seek a fulfilling career shefound employment at Barclays, now CIBC First Caribbean as a banker. Adependable worker, she survived the many changes over the years, always mindfulthat there was a time to keep and a time to throw away.
She seldom took the time to weep and she enjoyed her time to laugh and was a faithful and loyal friend to many throughall the changing scenes of life. Sheloved to travel and created precious memories with family and friends especially, the Cruising crew. In time sheremembered that there was also a time tothrow away stones collected.
Pamela found her time to love. She was acaring and a careful babysitter to her younger cousins, especially Danielle, whom she regarded as her daughter. Eventually, Pamela had time toseek and was blessed with the birth of her only child, Peah Dawn. A proud mother, she showered her daughterwith love and time, always together seeking to secure their bond and future.
The timeto die came on the morning ofSunday, August 8, 2021. Pamela now has atime of peace.
We regret that Pamela did not have the time for a final embrace, but weacknowledge that her time was in ourHeavenly Father’s hands who does all things well. So, now it is our time to mourn and thankfully a blessed time to heal.
