On the 17thday of March 1955 beautiful twin girls was born on the island of Exuma thesettlement called Ramsey to the parents Mother; Francis Richards and Father;Gladstone Ferguson.
At theage of 5 years old Naomi attended the school Eastern Primary School, and laterfurthered her education at C.H. Reeves and R.M Bailey high school.
Uponleaving R.M. Bailey she returned back to her home Farmers Hill, Exuma, whereshe had her first child Sharlene Ferguson-Stubbs, four years later she conceivedher son Edward Clarke.
Shelater returned to Nassau where she sought employment at George McKinneyRestaurant. She met Thomas Woodside there and she had her 3rd childPriscilla Woodside. Later down in years,she met and married Troy McPhee in March, 1985.
Shelater was employed at Spotless Cleaners for about 15 yrs. She was dedicated and a hard worker. Determine to make ends meet for her family,she was work-driven and gave it her all. Through her perseverance, she touched many lives along the way, with herinfectious laughter and affectionate pinches. This was her way of showingaffection and care. Naomi was a great cook she enjoyed cooking for familyfunctions. Later she continued work withMrs. Eldena Cartwright owner of Exclusive Bahamian Craft, a straw and manufacturingcompany, for about 18 years where she later retired.
Shewas a woman of Prayer and believed in the power of the Holy Spirit. In her early years she started her Faithjourney at Church of God of Prophecy, then moved onto Faith Temple Church of Godand later made Global Worship Center her home Church. She had a heart and a great passion to serveothers. She served as a member of the Greeter/Usher Team.
Naomibegan to suffer health setbacks in early 2000’s, when she started experiencingcomplications. By 2019, she starts seeing a heart specialist, who prescribednumerous medications for treating her heart impediments. Sadly, her healthissues worsened, she had to be admitted at The Princess Margaret Hospital. Shewas later discharged. A few weeks later she was re-admitted at PMH for thethird time, Naomi’s complications became more severe. During that time the report from the doctorswas not good. Still, Naomi kept herfaith and believed that God had the final say concerning her life. She said her “I Love you’s” to her Family andFriends. Even-though she was in pain, she mustered up strength to give hersignature pinch to her family members. She prayed with her Apostle andrededicated her life to her God and made her peace with Him.
OnApril 22nd 2023 she was found unresponsive and was resuscitated. At8am the 23rd of April 2023 she said goodbye to this world andwelcomed eternity.
