OBITUARY

On September 20th, 1955, Ruby Greene andGeorge Albury welcomed a son into the world; He was given the name MitchellAndrew Albury. Mitchell was christened at Wesley Methodist Church, and it wasthere he became a member.

Mitchie, as he was affectionately called,received his foundational education at Quarry Mission Road Primary school. Helater went on to Nassau Street Junior school and thereafter, graduated fromWestern Senior school.

Mitchie, or Horrible as he was also called,was an industrious individual. He found gainful employment in a number offields, from sales to construction and painting and the Tourism industry.

Horrible loved his family, especially his mostprized possessions, his 3 children Toma, Lahoma and Nichelle and hisgrandchildren Tahj, Jaiden and Justin. In addition to his love for family, hewas an avid lover of junkanoo and a dedicated member of One Family Junkanoogroup. He also had a passion for horses, converse tennis shoes, the MiamiDolphins and the Miami Heat.

Horrible was a unique character; he was vocaland you never had to wonder what was on his mind. He was also a true comedian;there was never a dull moment when he was around. He was also the king ofarguments and always had to have the last word.

Later on in life, Horrible married his longtime love Karen on December 24th 2019 however, she predeceased him in Novemberof 2021.

In May of this year, after returning home fromchurch, Horrible suffered a stroke and was subsequently hospitalized. As aresult of the stroke, Horrible’s health started to decline. On Monday,September 26th, just 6 days after celebrating his 67th birthday, he slippedaway from time into eternity.

Son inlaw: Anthony Jakes

Grandchildren: Tahj, Jaiden and Justin Ferguson

Stepchildren: Natasha, Nakiesha and Nickia McPhee, HenryKing, Gardia and Shantel Bain, Gary and Jervain Lindsay, Menatte Storr, EdvardoDeveaux, Alcott Forbes Sr, Stannell Butler, Kevon Knowles and Kevonia Williams.

Siblings: Stephanie and James Griffin, Min. Berthamae Gardiner, BernadetteAlbury, Janet Williams, Delrose Thompson and Laurane Knowles, Richard FergusonSr., Robert (Beatrice) Gilbert, Stephen (Nicki) Albury of Philadelphia, Pa,Denis Albury.

Niecesand Nephews: Niakevia and Robert Ferguson, Janiquraand Julian Griffin, Michelle Thompson, Richard Ferguson Jr. Kanique Finlayson,Jammea, Lachanty, LaPatra, Nicara, Nia, Kizzier, Gr’Zhara, Salem, Jaliah, Lacara,Miquel, Kevin, Jevon, Gino, Garron, Gavano, Niar, Cardinal, Robert Jr. andNavado.

GrandNieces and Nephews: Rashad, RaShawn and RhiaughnFerguson, Tylin Griffin, Khaleah Thompson, Kheyondre Butler, Jameka and J’MariChisolm, Nicole and Alexis Stuart.
