On March 11th,1944 the home of the late Harold & Alsaida Adderley of South Side Exumawelcomed their only child whom they named Leotha.
Lee as she wasaffectionately called, enjoyed life on the Island of Exuma. She attended the Mount Thompson All AgeSchool. After leaving school, she gainedemployment at Bahama Sound Beach Club, 2 Turtle’s Inn, and Out Island Inn.
After a while, she went toNassau where she worked at various places including Pastel Club (Cook), ABCMotors, CJ’s (Cook), The Bain Family and Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre.
This precious gem who wasquiet by nature, always had a smile for whomever she came in contact with. Lee was soft spoken, humble and loving. She cared for her beloved father, mother,children, grandchildren, aunts, etc.
She was a great cook, sheloved cooking for her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She let nothing come between her and hergrand & great-grandchildren.
On the day of her retirementher first great-grand daughter; Danesha was born, whom she cared for until shewent to primary school. She could alwaysbe seen taking her grandchildren to pre-school.

She gave her life to theLord at a very early age, where she attended the Church of God of Prophecy atthe Forest, Exuma. After she went toNassau, she attended the First Baptist Church and later on in 2017 she returnedto Prophecy Church where she worshipped at Baillou Hill Church of God ofProphecy. When asked if she went tochurch, her answer will always be, “yes ma’am, my Baillou Hill Road Church.
ATIME TO MOURN
On 7th Septemberafter complaining about pain in her body she was taken to the Medi-Centre byher son and children. She came back homewhere she was cared for by her children and grandchildren. On Sunday 12th September, she wasadmitted to the hospital where she remained until Thursday 16thSeptember where her mission came to an end. Leotha peacefully passed on to her heavenly reward where she is freefrom pain and suffering.
