Jeffrey Lynden Arthur

On June 5th, 1976,the late Eula Prescola and Granville Benjamin Arthur gave birth to their lastchild, a bouncing baby boy and he was given the name Jeffrey Lynden Arthur.

Jeffrey the Adolescent   In his early years, Jeffrey began his primaryschool education at Yellow Elder Primary School. After primary school, in 1987,Jeffrey transitioned to high school where he went to L.W. Young High School.

Jeffrey the Young Man  After graduating from high school in 1993, Jeffreywent on to study Computer Studies at Success Training College.

Jeffrey the Husband and Father  In1998, Jeffrey met his wife, Shanreka Arthur. They fell in love almost instantly.In March of 2000, they were blessed with their first child, Jade. In June 2002,Jeffrey and Shanreka were married, and two years later, in 2004 they had theirsecond child, Jameka. In 2017, Jeffrey was joyous to receive news that him andShanreka will be having their third child and only son, Jaheem. Four yearslater in 2021, Jeffrey and Shanreka had their fourth child, Jazelle. As a husbandand father, Jeffrey always loved and cared deeply for his wife and kids. Heenjoyed every moment he had spending time with them. Every night before bed, hewould always play with Jaheem and Jazelle, and always made it known to his wifeand kids that he loved them.

Jeffrey the Hardworker   Overthe years, Jeffrey has always been a hardworker and provided effortlessly forhis family. In 1993, Jeffrey landed his first job at The Shoal Restaurant &Bar on Nassau Street where he worked as a bus boy then was later promoted as awaiter at the restaurant. After this, in 2004, Jeffrey began work at theWendy’s Restaurant’s head office on Tonique Williams-Darling Highway where heworked as a truck driver for 2 years. Over the years, Jeffrey always had apassion for cars. With such passion, he then got into car imports. He did thisfor a few years then transitioned to Wemco, where he worked as a SecurityGuard. Later in 2006, Jeffrey transitioned in his father’s footsteps and becamea bus driver. He enjoyed this profession and drove for numerous bus servicesand routes such as Suzette’s Bus Service, KD Transportation, Deal’s BusService, Bolo Bus Service, Davis Bus Service, MJ’s Bus Service, Wife’s BusService, etc. In this profession, Jeffrey was Union Board Trustee of theBahamas Unified Bus Drivers Union and received numerous certificates fromBahamaHost. Though his 15 years in this profession, being the ambitious person thathe always was, he decided to become a Taxi Driver in 2021. In this profession,Jeffrey worked extremely hard and was dedicated to providing for his family. Asa taxi driver, Jeffrey began to grow a passion for it and had plans onpurchasing his own Taxi, and establishing his own Taxi company one day, andwould often say that it will be named, “Jaheem’s Taxi Services” after his son,Jaheem.

Jeffrey the Person   Jeffreywas naturally a hardworking individual, determined to provide for his familyand give them the life he felt that they deserved. His family meant more to himthan anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was always proudof his children’s accomplishments and always encouraged them to continue to dowell in their school studies and even if it gets hard, continue to pushthrough. Many that knew Jeffrey knew that he was a person filled with manyjokes and was never afraid to speak what is on his mind. He always had a gogetter mindset despite the tasks he had at hand. In 2021, Jeffrey made thedecision to transition into a new chapter in his life and was baptized with theRedemption Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Jeffrey in his Last Moments In the early morning of Saturday, October 8,2022, Jeffrey awoke out of his sleep and mentioned that he did not feel well ashe was experiencing shortness of breath. The ambulance was called but as timewent on his condition got worst and moments after, Jeffrey slipped away fromtime into eternity.
