On Friday November 15, 2019 at 8:55 pm, a7lb 4oz bouncing baby boy was born to the proud parents of Ashley Simmons andGlenn L. Davis Jr.
“G3”as he was affectionately called was a fighter from the very beginning. Hebattled a digestive complication, which never stopped him from eating as muchfood as he can. The complication was partially corrected when he got his firstsurgery on November 29 2019. Despite these little complications, he still had asmile on his face. G3 would have then spend the first month of his preciouslife in the NICU.
OnDecember 18, 2019 he was airlifted to the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital forfurther treatments and became the cutest little island boy that stole the heartof many of his nurses. He spent his first Christmas there and had the cutestlittle Christmas tree with lots of gifts under it, which were the nosiest toysyou could imagine. After three successful surgeries we were able to come backhome where he became the light in of every ones eye.
Covidhit and he did not get to go out much but we sure made up for that when it cameto his mini photoshoots and his aunts and cousins got his photos, even the oneswhere he would have those eyes rolling. He loved going to church and we made ita mission to carry him as much as possible. We thought he would sleep throughthe services as most babies do, but not G3. He was up and alert during themusic and especially during pastors sermon. G3 was dedicated to the Lord twoweeks after his first birthday where he enjoyed every bit of the service, andwas answering the pastor back while he was preaching.
OnAugust 09 2021, you entered Princess Margaret Hospital ICU to be treated forpneumonia, which he conquered again. But sadly when he was transferred to thechildren’s ward so that he can be discharged he picked up a bacterial infectionwhich proved to be one of many and he ended up back in ICU were he started a new fight . So many medication for hislittle body but in spite of that he was doing great. They called on the 4Th.Of October to say he would be transferred back to the children’s ward on the 5thof October to be discharge that afternoon or Wednesday Morning we were sohappy. The only call we got the next morning was one that bought us sorrow andpain his journey had ended.
Despite all his challenges, he lived a shortbut very active life. Innocent he came in to this world and innocently he wentback home to his Lord.
