ELLAMAE’S BIRTH& MOM’S DEATH:

On the 21st day of May, 1925 in the Picturesque settlement ofRichmond Hill, Exuma, which is found in the beautiful archipelago of TheBahamas, the birth of Ellamae was celebrated by her late parents, Mr.& Mrs.Harold and Oletha Rolle. Affectionately called ‘Ella’, she was the third ofseven children to her parents; Nora, Cleveland, Edward, Cedric and Rosalie havepredeceased her, and Nemal her brother, resides in Tampa, Florida, USA with hiswife Rosa. At the age of eight, Eulla experienced the inevitable death of herMother Oletha. Her under aged siblings were understandably overwhelmed withgrief. The late, Mrs. Nora Ferguson, the eldest child, instinctively took theday to day responsibility of rearing her siblings. Harold their Father and thelate Mrs. Ethlyn Rolle were also instrumental. During a family chat, Ella toldthe story of Nora (a disciplinarian), who taught her Godly principles andethics which made her a woman worthy of praise.

Ellamatured as destiny unfolded, she left Exuma and migrated to New Providence.During her relocation, she always kept God in view. In God’ time, her highyellow complexion and elegant style of dress captured the eyes of a handsomeyoung man by the name of Livingston Armbrister. Their friendship developed andresulted in marriage.
