Thursday April 29th, 1976 was an unforgettable day for Floyd Adamson and Janet Adderley as the couple welcomed in to the world a whopping 9lb 2oz. bundle of joy. The first and only male child into the family for many years. He was given the name, Dino Anton Adamson.
A Time To Born
Dino was an adventurous young man. Constantly rummaging through the corners and pathways of Hawkins Hill, visiting the beach with friends, and playing basketball. This young man was constantly in search of a new adventure and most times barefoot!
A Time To Learn
His education began at Annie’s Playground, then Palmdale Primary. He later attended C.I. Gibson, BTVI then Judson College in Chicago.
A Time To Work
Dino was a well-rounded tradesman. What he wasn’t taught, he figured out himself. Often when he had to hire persons to do something, he would be seen observing them closely then he would say, “I’m watching…cause next time I’ll do it myself”.
A.C. and Refrigeration Technician, Chef, Taxi Driver, Tour Guide, and Security Officer were just a few of the jobs that Dino mastered.
A Time To Die
On September 10th, 2023, he visited his children reminding his daughter that they had a date for the following day, then proceeded to visit with his mother, sister, and nephew. They reminisced on old times, and he promised to come back that night.
He then went with Ryan to his house, and it was there while conversing with his goddaughter Gabby, that he was called to eternal rest.
No screams, no tears… Just as he lived, he died…A warrior, A strong protector…A conqueror! As his name meant, is as he was…A brave Bear! Rest on big guy, you can never be forgotten.
