BORN
On January 17th, 1953 in the lovely settlement of Stafford Creek, Andros the union of the late ErnestWhite and Loretta White (Nee Johnson) was blessed with a beautiful baby girl they named Delthis Whiteaffectionately called 'Del' who grew up with great morals, values and love for the Lord God.
LEARN
Delthis 'Del obtained her early education at the Stafford Creek All Age School. As a result of her being abrilliant student, she was selected amongst her peers and placed as Teacher at the age of 14 years old. Shelater left to attend the Bahamas Teachers College in San Salvador where she obtained her TeachingCertificate.
LOVE
Delthis met and married Rodney McKenzie and were blessed with three daughters from their union.After many years of marriage, the couple separated and divorced, she continued striving and blessed bythe hands of God, raised four wonderful and upright kids, a young man and three women.
WORK
Delthis, upon completion and having her Teaching Certificate, returned to Stafford Creek All Age Schoolwhere she taught for a while then went on to Lowe Sound Primary School which soon after landed heronto the shores of New Providence where William Phipps Primary School became her new home.Subsequently after a fire at William Phipps Primary School, she went across the field to Claridge PrimarySchool and there is where she continued to nurture the minds of our nation, excelled and eventuallyretired. She received numerous awards while at Claridge Primary School and throughout her yearsteaching. "THE SALUTE TO GREATNESS AWARD" and her "CELEBRATING EDUCATORSOF EXCELLENCE AWARD" are two of her most prestigious awards amongst the many others shereceived. She had a fulfilling life as an Educator with no regrets.
LIFE
Delthis love, passion and focus besides teaching was always her family, kids and grandkids. The Familytrips yearly, her hosting Christmas Dinners was her joy amongst many other things. She loved family. Shelived family and enjoyed them to the fullest.
DEATH
Although being a humble, loving, devoted and graceful Wife, Mother and Grandmother….she was abeautiful soul to her brothers and sister. A wonderful and supportive Auntie, cousin and friend. OnSunday, 13th August 2023…She left to be with the Lord God after her battle with cancer ended hisheavenly angel and to continue to protect, guide and guard her Family.
