Dave Brenwill Hanna bornon September 3rd, 1961 was the first son and first child born toMarian Hanna in Nassau, Bahamas.
His early educationbegan at Stephen Dillet, then he later attended Snug Corner All Age School, andA.F. Adderley. Throughout his adult life, Dave could be found playing music andin his early years he was a part of two gospel groups called the New Way Starsand The New Revelation, which they produced an album and were best known fortheir number one hit “ I’m going home on the morning train”.
In February of 1985,Dave met a young beauty by the name of Sandra Greenslade. They courted for afew years and in November of 1990, they made a long term commitment and becamelife partners for thirty two (32) years until God called Dave home.
Some of Dave’s places ofemployment included SunCo Construction working as a time keeper; BritanniaHotel in the Housekeeping Department; Nassau Beach Hotel as an Engineer in thePower Plant; WemCo Security and Collections as a Security Supervisor, andfinally at Old Fort Bay where he later resigned due to his illness.
Dave was a dedicatedmember of Bible Truth Ministries where he played both bass and lead guitars inthe Music Department. His dedication was clearly seen when upon discharge fromthe hospital and not feeling very well he would still attend church and playhis guitar.
Dave was a humble andpeaceful man; he was very soft spoken and not much of a talker. Dave was areserved, and a great thinker who loved his family, people, and listening togospel music. He loved his space and quiet time.
Dave became ill inSeptember 2017 and was diagnosed with Decompensated Heart Failure, and was aresult, he was often hospitalized. On November 28th, 2022 he was hospitalized for what turned out to be the lasttime. At 7:40 a.m, as the sun rose on Tuesday January 3rd, 2023, God called Dave to his eternal home. He is now at peacewith his Lord and Savior.
