In Loving Memory of

Cynthia Maria Sands

18th July 1944
to
25th December 2022

On the 18thJuly 1944 a beautiful bouncing baby girl was born to Agnes and Stafford Dean, whom they named CYNTHIA MARIA DEAN.

Cynthia began herearly education in Catholic Schools attending both St. Joseph and St. FrancisSchool and would later regale her children of the many tails she along with herbrother George encountered and how he would always be her protector in the manyincidents they incurred.

Cynthia met her soulmate at the very young age of 16 and instantly fell in love with a veryrambunctious fellow by the name of Harry Sands. They married soon after on the 19thAugust, 1960 in what became a bound that has endured for 54 years, a bound thatwill endure throughout eternity. Their union was blessed with six (6) living children.

Upon giving her lifeto Christ, Cynthia became an active member and contributor to the Dixie Churchof God for many years. She later moved on to Bahamas Christian Fellowship whereshe was involved in the Greeters’ Ministry for a substantial period and PrayerMinistries.  She indeed found her extendedfamily that she loved dearly and would often pick up the phone to call them andfind out how they were doing when they neglected to come to church or she knewof a situation they faced.

Anyone who knew Cynthia, knew she was a prayer warrior. She spoke less and prayed often.  Before she has a bad thought about anythingor anyone she would prefer to see the best and think of all the goodpossibilities of a situation. Her heart was pure. If someone said they would dosomething for her, she believed them and nothing and no one could advise herotherwise or pursued her to think otherwise. She was stubborn in this way, thatshe always preferred to see the good in people. She firmly believed that aman/woman’s word should be their bound. She loved the Lord and shared her lovewith the many children that she once took care of and grew up in her lifetime.

On the 25thDecember, 2022 after suffering a heart attack at the Princess Margaret Hospitalcaused by the cancer discovered in her uterus only months before, Cynthia’sheart slowed down and stopped. With Doctors being unable to resuscitate her,Cynthia quietly passed away on her favorite day of the year, Christmas Day.

Predeceased by her loving daughter Michelle Sands and dotingHusband, Harry George Sands.
