In the Arcadian settlement ofMason’s Bay, Acklins on the 6th Day of March 1955. A handsome baby boy was born,to the late Harris BainSr. and Florence Bain (nee) Williamson). They named him Cecil M. Bain. Heattended the St Matthew Baptist Church in Mason’s Bay, Acklins
He began his early education at the Sung Corner All Age School.There he received high passes in all of his BJCs. Upon completion, he relocated to Nassau,where he attended the Ebenezar BaptistChurch. As a young manCecil thrived for excellence. He successfully completed courses in General EngineeringCourse at C.R. Walker Technical College and Technical Mechanical Engineering,at the City and Guilds of London Institute, Domestic Violence, at the Police College, otherpursuits are Bahamas School of Marine Navigation and ArchitecturalDrawing. His hobbiesand interests are diving, fishing, gardening, cooking, sports and Architecturaldrawing. he loved family and friends.
At the tender age of 19 he enrolled at the Police Training Collegewhere he completed his course and joinedthe Fire Department of The Royal Bahamas Police Force..
This was an area where he waspassionate and held a sound sense of commitment to up hold the goals andobjectives of the department.
While working at the firedepartment he enrolled in an architectural drawing course where he receivedcertification.
His love for architectural drawingallowed him to assist other persons and aid in his financial gains. Cecil lovepeople and assisted many who came to him, in need. He was an extraordinary father to his Childrenand grand children. Some of the fondest memories were his weekend escapes tothe beaches McDonalds, Wendy’s, and simply laying on the couch and allowingthem to use him as their toy.
After serving his country for anumber of years, he retired and went back as a reservist until his demised, onDecember 16th 2021.
