Carl Clifford Ferguson was the fourth child born toFlorence Lewis on the 30th August, 1968, in the quint settlement ofBrown’s, Crooked Island. At two years old, he moved to Nassau, New Providencewith his family.
He attended the Claridge Primary School and then movedon to the
R. M. Bailey High school, where he graduated.
After graduation, he was employed at several companiesincluding FedEx Bahamas and Bahamasair in the Maintenance Department. Duringhis employment at Bahamasair his interest in flying peaked.
He then attended the Aviation School in Florida wherehe accomplished his dream in becoming a Professional Pilot.
He flew for several private companies includingPineapple Air and Golden Wings Charter. For a year he also flew for the IndianGovernment, where he seeded clouds to increase rain in areas experiencingdrought.
Carl was a private person who kept to himself. OnSeptember 13, 2021, he became ill and was hospitalized. His condition worsenedand as a result he was ventilated a few days later. This became too much forCarl to bear, on September 21, 2021, around 11:00 p.m., he quietly slipped awayto take his eternal rest.
