TIME TO BE BORN
On February 15, 1962, the late Dewitt and Elaine Johnsonwelcomed a bouncing baby boy into the world they named him Bruce DelworthJohnson.
TIME TO BUILD UP
As a young man he attended the Hatchet Bay All Age Schoolnow known as the P. A. Gibson Primary School. He left Hatchet Bay at the tenderage of 18 to seek employment in Nassau. A few years later he migrated to Androswhere he worked on the Autec Navy Base for almost 23 years as a professionalPainter. During his time in Andros, he found the love of his life, CarmellaJohnson.
A TIME TO LOVE
It was the year 2000 when Bruce laid eyes on Carmella. The twofell in love and (were) joined in holy matrimony in June 7, 2003.
A TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
In late 2020 Bruce was diagnosed with Cancer. In May 2022Bruce started to experience excruciating pain in his back and legs. Bruce wasair lifted to Nassau where he remained for three months, it was during thistime Bruce lost his mobility and his health was on a decline. Bruce asked hiswife to take him home, she asked, “which home?” He said Eleuthera, thenfollowed with Andros. In mid-August his wife took him home to Andros for a week.They returned to Nassau August 24, 2022 to complete his bone treatment. Upontheir return to Nassau his wife noticed Bruce wasn’t strong enough anymore; hishealth began to fail, and he took a turn for the worse. On September 10th, 2022, around 2pmBruce slipped away peacefully.
He is predeceased by his parents: Dewitt and Elaine Johnson, Sister: Elvina Johnson; Brothers: Stephen, Carlton and RoderickJohnson.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving and dedicated wifeof 20 years; Carmella Johnson; 2daughters: Elaine and Elvina Johnson; Stepchildren:Dahi (Cassey Braynen), Simone (Lavardo Frazer) & Tenagh (Shakara); 4 grandsons: Terrance, Larenzo, Denzel& Kevin; 4 granddaughters:Makayla, Kevinique, Kiana, & Ridgeunique; 2 sisters: Allyson Crawley and Vonnia Pearce (Kendrick); 3 brothers: Brad (Shyann), Dave(Barbara)& Barry(Paula), aunts: BeverlyKemp, Lenita Butler, Gloria Johnson, Nieces:Daphne, Denise, Shernique, Atarah & Khylee, Camille, Lashan, Shenea,Bradtisha, Shantell, Yasmine, Jade, Amanda; Valencia, Nephews:Barry Jr., Ahmari Wilson; Delroy, Antoine, James Jr.; Demetris, Roderick Jr.;Meko; Omar, Ojay, Kenron, Stepmother:Judy Johnson; Stepsiblings: Gladys,Tangela and Hadassah; Mother-in-law: Hilda Thompson, numerous cousinsespecially: Austin and Collins.
