On the morning of December 12th, 2010 at 5:00a.m. in Nassau, Bahamas, a beautiful handsome baby boy weighing 6lbs 7oz entered into this world where he was first greeted by his young parents Alton and Shantaleace Marshall. They named him Alton Timothy Marshall Jr.

Being the only child at that time, AJay which he was affectionately called by those who know him; was spoiled and loved by his parents. At an early age we began to see his love for laughter, humor, and music.

AJay along with his long beloved pacifier began his early education at Sunny Days Christian Academy Preschool. After graduating and parting ways with his pacifier he began his primary education at Ridgeland Primary School where he first experienced and participated in Junior Junkanoo. He continued his primary school education at Holy Name of Mary Hamilton, Ontario Canada, and thereafter completed his studies at Cleveland Eneas Primary School. After completing his primary studies AJay began his junior high school studies at S.C. McPherson Junior High School where he was a part of the school's band and baseball team.

AJay took his role as a big brother to his siblings Jeremiah, Charity and Trinity very seriously. He was a big brother indeed. He always looked out for them and made sure they did their chores including his, just so he could sneak on the phone to talk to his “girl”. He was always a smooth handsome young man who always liked to be clean and “fresh up”. His famous line was “Daddy can I go to the barber early in the morning before school for a shape up?” Just so it was freshly cut for school.

AJay is a prankster, and would often times find humor in everything. AJay also loved to dance, as he would have dance off with his parents and siblings at home. He is also a master of imitating people, as he would imitate his dad often lol; especially when he travels for work. AJay would say to his mom “I’m the man of the house and everything must run by and through me lol.

”AJay’s is very passionate about music and performance. He never had a favorite song, but his favorite band group was the Jackson 5.

AJay was very much involved in activities at Church of God of Prophecy Palm Tree. He took part in Christmas program where he had leading roles. He took communion and he was a worshipper; he also ensured during the worship that his siblings were worshipping. There were times when persons not present to play their and he would eagerly step up and fill the roles during service; whether it's reading a scripture, or saying a prayer, AJay was very active when attending the service.

AJay joined the Bahamas Junior Brass Band in 2019, starting off with the symbols; then the following year he passed the symbols to his little brother and began to play the drums. He was also a member of The National Children’s Choir.

In 2022, AJay along with his brother joined their father in the Shell Saxons Superstars Junkanoo Group where he played the trumpet. Although they lost that year, AJay did not become discourage, however he was determined to never give up. That following year Saxons became the champions of the 2023 Boxing Day Parade and 2024 New Years Parade. His following comments were “Saxons boy, we coming 4 straight this year!”.

On Monday June 17th, 2024 AJay rushed on to eternity. AJay was always full of life, excitement, adventures, and love; but most of all he was a humble and respectable young man.
