Announcement/Obituary: It was a beautiful day when a bouncing baby girl named Stephanie was born to the proud parents, Henry and Evelyn (deceased) Colebrook on August 13, 1971. She was the sixth (6th) of eight (8) children. Stephanie who was affectionately called Steph was loveably, a no nonsense and a very out spoken person; everyone knew what she thought about you or the situation because she never held her words. She was considered the life of the party by her family, friends and anyone else who came in contact with her. She was known as the cook of the family, whenever anyone was having a party she was always ready to get in the kitchen to cook. She liked to cut birthday cakes, no matter how small the cake was, just call Ms. Seymour and everyone would get a slice of cake. Stephanie was a devoted mother and grandmother; she made numerous sacrifices to ensure the well-being of her kids and grandkids were taken care off. Also, she looked out for her family including sisters, nieces and others. Steph attended Uriah McPhee Primary School, and then to L.W. Young Junior and Senior High School. During her time in high school, she was an active member of The Junior Achievement program, where she made many arts and crafts. Steph found employment at the East Villa Restaurant, East Bay Street. Where she performed various duties for more than fifteen years. It was at this time, she decided she wanted to try something new; upon which she found employment for a brief time at Del Sol, Bay Street. Stephanie s passion for cooking led her to Sbarro Italian Eatery restaurant where she found joy in cooking. On November 29th, 2014 Steph was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital after complaining about not feeling well. At that time, the doctors explained that her sugar level was extremely high and later that evening she was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit; where she remained until the time of her demise. On December 8th, 2014, at approximately 4:24 a.m., The Master new that this gem could no longer stay on this side of heaven, so He called her home to peace and quiet to be with Him.
