Announcement/Obituary: The measure of a man is his worth, regardless of rank, financial status, titles and or accolades. On the 10th Sept, 1937, in the small and quiet settlement of Farmer s Hill Exuma, a bouncing baby boy was born to the late Marinetta Strachan and Richard Smith and was given the name Nathan Smith. He attended the All Age School in Rokers Point Exuma and later travelled to New Providence to seek gainful employment. His Work Like most Bahamian young men he travelled to the US and worked on the contract for some years. After returning to the Bahamas he followed in his brother s footsteps and joined the Bahamas Meter Cab where he was employed as a Taxi Driver for a number of years. Subsequently he joined the Ministry of Education as a Security Officer until he retired. His Family On 29th Jan, 2014 Nathan and Anniemae Lloyd were joined in holy matrimony, and this union was blessed with two children. His Departure On Friday 13th June, 2014 Nathan took ill and was admitted to the Princess Margaret Hospital where he remained until he slipped quietly from time to eternity on Thursday 17th July, 2014. He is Survived by his Wife: Anniemae Smith; Six Daughters: Selina Perry, Janice Rolle, Noralee Martin, Irene Outten, Nathanria Williams, Cherriqua Taylor Adopted Daughter: Bessie Curtis; Two Sons: Selvin O Brian & Kevie Smith Sr.; Twenty One Grandchildren: Marcel Hunter, Quashawna Perry, Tyrhonda Baldwin, Damion Perry, Krysten & Kryshell Rolle, Chavez & Sanchez Smith, Darron Jr., Darronique, Noralesha, Natoya, Jamell & Quebell Martin, Ashleigh, Kiasha & Kevie Smith Jr, Wellington Jr. & Shekinah Taylor, DLonte Outten and AvaGlorie Williams Seven Great Grandchildren: Quaneesha, Quante & QwaShaun Perry, Tavien, Jakai & Troi Hunter an Johannah Perry. Two Daughters-In-Law: Phillippa & Jenny Smith Three Sons-in-Laws: Rev. Garth Rolle, Darren Martin, Dwayne Outten, Anthony Williams & Wellington Taylor Four Sisters: Estine Rolle, Oveta Strachan, Sheila Mackey, Nerva Bowe and Cynthia Smith.
